   Proposal Description:
   <textarea name="description" rows="12" cols="85" wrap="virtual" readonly>This project will attempt to leverage the cognitive, pathologic, and genotypic data in NACC to identify genetic loci related to resilience. The central hypothesis is that genetic variants within relevant molecular pathways will be related to an innate resilience to the Alzheimer???s disease cascade. The identification of such novel variants will provide targets for clinical intervention aimed at activating natural biological defenses to AD.                                                                                                 Aim 1: Identify genetic interactions that predict resilience from AD pathology.                                                                                                                                                                     Aim 2: Identify genes that modify the relationship between AD biomarkers and      cognitive impairment. </textarea>
